IMPORTANCE OF MINERALS

It is well known that vitamins are required for every biochemical activity of the body. What is not always known, however, is that vitamins cannot function without the presence of minerals. In fact all nutrients vitamins, proteins, enzymes, amino acids, carbohydrates, fats, sugars, and oils require minerals for activity.

Unfortunately, not all minerals are created equal. Minerals in elemental form as found in rocks and soil cannot be used as a sole source without causing imbalances. Plants and grasses, however, absorb elemental minerals and turn them into a bio-available form through chelation. Chelated minerals can be easily eliminated and are therefore less likely to create imbalances. Supplementing minerals in a chelated form is therefore the best strategy.

"You can trace every sickness, every disease, and every ailment to a mineral deficiency."
